The gas shown in the video is HHO which can be extracted from water by electrolysis.

This video shows huge electrolysis plant setup within the car. Meyer's water car
did not use a drop of fuel. It ran 100% on tap water. What does that mean?
If these water cars came into production then we would have forgotten about
fuel and problems that come with it almost decade ago.

Something similar is being used these days in cars that run on water and fuel. The
effect of these conversions can increase the mileage of your car by at least 40%
on an average.
Salt Water Into Fuel
Here is another classic example where John Kanzius who was researching on killing
the cancerous and leaving good cells intact found that salt water may be used
as a fuel. He put the salt water in test tube
and placed it in his machine. Guess what salt water was burning.

"What a load of crap...if you believe that car can run on water then pigs
do fly...Only America could dream up this kind of crap....seems like they will
create anything to put on the news to fill the air time. This is a laugh...to
actually see your believing this...you really are stupid."
Here is another one on the same video.
"No company will create engines that run on water because they would
rather reap the benefits of oil and the government would rather
reap the taxes on oil."
This comment has a lot of hidden stuff. If water powered cars touch roads they
will last from one generation to another unlike current cars that run on gasoline.
If cars were to run only on HHO gas then that would be very environment friendly
and will keep engine healthy as there will be no carbon eating it. The car that runs on
regular gas ( petrol / diesel ) emit carbon, polluting environment and also decreasing
vehicles efficiency over 10-12 years i.e. why we have to abandon our cars after we
have driven it for about 15 years in 95% of the cases.
The possibility to run car on water was invented more
than a decade ago. Stan Meyer then developed a car that ran 100 miles on water.
That is right and it did not need even a drop of regular gas. Well he used
simple chemistry and installed an electrolysis plant within his car that used
to produce enough hydrogen gas (HHO) from water to run car.
As on date also it is next to impossible if you want to run your car only on water as
that would require a big electrolysis plant installed in your car. Check how big
of an electrolysis plant would be required if you want to run your car only on
water in the video on the left. Well for car companies this is not impossible
they can come up with a solution to incorporate it. But they have their own
reasons not to go ahead with it. There is also a possibility of running a
car on fuel generated by
salt water.
A small amount of sodium is used with salt water in the process as a catalyst and it is
confirmed that liberated gases were the ones that were burning and not
water or NaCl. There has not much that has been done with this invention either.
If you can spend some time on your car you will be able to install a conversion
kit in your car that will run on water and regular fuel. The benefit of this
conversion will be that your car will now be healthier than before, give better
mileage, emit less pollution resulting in some considerable savings for you.
All you will need is a do it yourself manual
that will explain the whole conversion
procedure in details, right from where to get the
electrolysis assembly kit, the installation
process, how to optimize your car for better performance. The cost of such manual
varies from around $50 - $200 and the cost of assembly will approximately
be around $75 - $125. So summarizing it, your
hydrogen fuel car
will be ready in about $200 which will give its return on investment within 2-3 months of running.
It is not that readymade kits are not available in market, they are there, but they
cost too much. The cheapest that you may find will be around $200 to $600 and these
will be no different than what you would be doing on your own.
