Test #1 : 2 Electrolyzer Setup Along With MAP Sensor Enhancer 19th Jul, 2008
This pair has been build with 316L Stainless Steel Wires. Added half tea spoon of baking soda in each electrolyzer and filled with distilled water. Switched on and the current was reading 4.5Amps, HHO gas production picked up in 10 minutes of drive the current was hovering around 9.5Amps. In about 30 minutes of drive current reached 16.5Amps, then I had to switch off the water to HHO gas system. Not much gain in MPG. Test ends.

Test #1A : Continued 20th Jul, 2008
I decreased baking soda by diluting the water used in previous days test by about 30%. Means drained 30% water and filled with fresh water. I started the test and current reads 3.25Amps. I took a 200KM test drive with electrolyzer working properly and MAP tuned to best MPG settings. The results are pretty good as compared to the one in yesterday's test case. The current was reading 9.5Amps at the end of the drive got a noticeable mileage gain 37.12 MPG as compared to 31.50 MPG originally, resulting in a net increase of 17.84%.

Notes : MAP Sensor has to be adjusted to get best results. If you plan on using only HHO generators you might not get any gain as your vehicle might tend to drain more gasoline as a result of increased combustion. Next important thing to remember is that any HHO Generator you use should not draw more than 10 Amp current as that will result in more work for alternator to charge the battery which puts load back on your engine. We prefer to use 10Amp circuit breaking fuse to halt the test if the current goes above 10Amps. The ideal current is 5-7Amps

These electrolyzers were built with 316L stainless steel. My next venture will be to use plate electrodes that people are much talking about. I have prepared a 5 cell plate electrode built with 304-S2 graded steel.

Test #2 : 5 Stainless Steel Plates Of 304-S2 Grade Along With MAP Sensor Enhancer 23nd Jul, 2008
Although it is not recommended but I altered the glass jar from previous tests to fit 5 stainless steel plates (+N-N+) dimensions (3Nos 7"x2" Charged | 2Nos 6"x2" Neutrals). The current read 4.5Amps at the start of the test and ended sweetly at 5.5Amps once I finished my run of same 200KM track as previous test case. Surprised one loosely packed plate electrode v/s 2 wire electrode electrolyzers was far better. I got 39.78 MPG as compared against 31.50 MPG originally, resulting in an increase by 26.28%

Test #3 : 2 HHO Generators Built With 17 304 Stainless Steel Plates Each Along With MAP Sensor Enhancer 29th Jul, 2008
I used proper container that stay good in hot and cold conditions with capacity of 1.2Ltr each. I build HHO generator using 17 plates in each container with the configuration as +NNN-NNN+NNN-NNN+. The current read 7 Amps at the start of the test and with in about 10 miles of drive it started hovering around 10 Amps. I experienced that my car was more powerful than before. This time my car averaged 47.59 MPG as compared to 31.5 MPG originally. The net gain in mileage was 51.08%. Well that was something I was always hoping to get, I had 3 of my friends along with me to share this experience.

Notes : I will repeat the same test again in a couple of days by diluting the solution so that current does not go above 7.5 Amps. Let us see how it goes.

Test #4 : 2 HHO Generators Built With 17 304 Stainless Steel Plates Each 10th Aug, 2008
Well as promised here are results from my today's test which I just came back from. The test conditions changed from the previous one. I disconnected MAP Sensor Enhancer just out of curiosity to check how it would perform. I diluted the solution so that the current stays around 5 Amps. Rest everything remains the same as previous test. The total surface area of all the steel plates is close to 860Sq Inches.

The current was steady at 5.25Amps for the 125 miles run and my car averaged 52.49 MPG as compared against 31.5MPG originally resulting in a whopping 66.6% gains in mileage. For about 2/3 minutes I pumped the gas paddle to see power and speedometer was hovering around 115 MPH, well I own this car for almost 7 years now and have never see it go beyond 90 MPH, I had to release gas paddle as it was really fast of course risky too as there is lots of traffic on roads here.

Notes : Next test will be same as previous but including MAP Sensor Enhancer in the circuit. As I am getting things to work properly in Indian driving conditions, I am sure they will only have room for improvement in any other country. Today I had to take cells out and change electrolyte after almost 1000 miles. I took my car out for a small ride and current stayed around 3.5 - 4.0 Amps which I guess will be perfect for next test.

Summary So Far :
  • Keeping in mind that I am testing Indian driving conditions results are only going to show improvements if tested in US, Canada or Australia due to better freeways.

  • The HHO Generators built with steel plates are pretty solid compared against rod and wire installations.

  • I used to get 437 miles per tank full which is now giving 729 miles per tank full resulting in huge increase of 292 extra miles per tank full.

  • We are still in testing phase and are planning to make commercial hho generators built on stainless steel plates based on what we have achieved so far.

  • Dilute electrolyte to an extent that current stays around 3-5 Amps. This is perfectly ok as drawing too much current will put load on your cars alternator and indirectly engine to charge the battery.

  • Even without a MAP Sensor Enhancer you can achieve good results.

  • So far it looks like that we might have to change electrolyte every 1000 miles, but this has to be confirmed in due course.

Test #5 : 2 HHO Generators Built With 17 304 Stainless Steel Plates Each Along With MAP Enhancer 15th Aug, 2008
Electrolyte was changed after last test and in cold conditions the generator is drawing 4.0 Amps current. MAP Sensor Enhancer has been added to the circuit. The total surface area of all the steel plates is close to 860Sq Inches (This is the same kit as used in last test and not the one as shown in video which has lot lesser surface area). The drive was comfortable with Enhancer tuned about 50% on the highway, there was a negligible drop in power for sure. Went for ~ 100 miles test run. Soon current picked up and was stable at around 4.75 Amps. The generator canisters was hardly warm after the test run. The mileage that we recorded was 52.88 MPG which was marginally above what was recorded in previous test. We were expecting better results as a we had an MAP enhancer in circuit.

Notes : As there was a drop in current it is pretty evident that gas generation might have been on the low side as compared to previous test. Now I am getting prepared for yet another test without MAP Enhancer in circuit. Rest all conditions will remain same. I am going to take this test tomorrow itself. In terms of %age it looks like it did improve barely by 1% with MAP Enhancer in circuit.

2x17 Stainless Steel Plate HHO Generator Test #6 : 2 HHO Generators Built With 17 304 Stainless Steel Plates 17th Aug, 2008
Everything same as in test #5 and we removed MAP Enhancer from the circuit. Went for a good 135 miles drive. In cold conditions the generator was drawing 4.0 Amps current. Soon current picked up and was stable at around 4.60 Amps. The mileage that we recorded was 46.35 MPG well there is a shear drop as compared to test #4 with same set.

Notes : There are 2 things that should be noted here. As we had same solution but with MAP sensor enhancer in previous test we got better results. Secondly we now plan to up the current so that it starts 5 Amps cold and may go to about 6 Amps after a while of drive. Well as said earlier there was a power drop in test #5, I will prefer not to include MAP for my future tests. There might be some specific cases with newer models where you might get better results with MAP Enhancer in circuit.
